Of Miami passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his daughter's residence after a sudden illness. He was born November 6, 1928 to the late Robbie Benjamin and Rita Mae Downs Mason. Mr. Mason worked as a train inspector for CSX railroad for 38 years and was a member of the Coral Gables Masonic Lodge in Miami for over 50 years.
Survivors Include: 3 Children and their spouses, Herb & Kathryn Mason of Valdosta, Cindy Mason of Jacksonville, FL, Scott & Rhonda Mason of Valdosta, 8 Grandchildren: Leslie Porter Jeff, Herbie Mason, Laura Mason, Alan Mason Ashley, Kara Rodgers Jared, Michelle Nixon, James Nixon and Benjamin Mason; 2 Great Grandchildren: Shelby Watson and Kaden Mason
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services.
