Harold Vann, 78, of Valdosta, GA transitioned on Friday, May 12, 2023. Harold was born on November 29, 1944, in Fairfield, AL to Henry and Jesse Hart Vann. He was a high school graduate of Fairfield High Preparatory School where he played football earning his "All County" nickname. Harold was a proud supporter of the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Jessie Vann, and his brothers Warren (Jean), Henry Jr., Frank Vann, and sister Clara Vann White.
He is survived by and will be lovingly remembered his Wife, Betty Vann of Valdosta, GA; daughter, Sharon Laster-Locklyn and husband Ronald of Pelham, AL; four step sons, Gino Scott and wife Denise of Valdosta, GA, Darryl Scott and wife Tameka of Ellenwood, GA, Andre Freeman of Valdosta, GA, Eric Freeman of Valdosta, GA; one granddaughter, Cedrika Laster and fiancé Tavarius of Pelham, AL, three step granddaughters Shaquavia Freeman of Miami, FL, Andrea Freeman of Valdosta, GA, Erika Freeman of Valdosta, GA; four step grandsons, Gino V Scott, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Kevin Scott of Tifton, GA, Charmain Scott of Tifton, GA, Jaylen Scott of Ellenwood, GA; great-granddaughter, Sydney Olivia Young of Pelham, AL; his sisters Mary (aka B.B.) Kirksey and husband Johnny, Lois (aka Puchie) Hawkins and husband Billy; surviving brothers Jesse Vann and wife Marie, Andrew Vann, Herman Vann and wife Juanita, Benjamin Vann and wife Doretha; special friends, Alan and Ida Williams, and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
