Also known as “Gentleman Gene Maine”, Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday December 19, 2019 in Brooks County, Georgia due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on January 24, 1964 in Hahira, Georgia to Harry G Maine, Sr. and Glennette Simpson of Valdosta, GA. Gene lived and breathed racing of all types, his favorites were dirt late model and go-carts. In late model racing he was best known for his red “201”
He is survived by his Wife of 35 years Debbie Maine of Valdosta, GA; Daughter and Son-in-Law April and Russ Wall of Valdosta, GA; Sons and Daughter-in-Law Gene, III and Lindsae Maine of Valdosta, GA, Jessie Maine of Valdosta, GA; Six Grandchildren: Grayson, Tristan, Henry, Thomas, Gene and Jessie: Sisters Beverly Radney of Valdosta, GA, Linda Maine of Valdosta, GA; Brother David Maine of Valdosta, GA; Several nieces, nephews and extended family members He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Maine.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in The Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will have a private burial on Monday, December 23, 2019 in The Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
