Henry Furman Ray – 83
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Waycross, GA to the late Henry and Ruby Ray on September 27, 1931. He was a member of Duncan Masonic Lodge #234 in Nashville, GA and a member of First Baptist Church in Ray City, GA. He retired from Temple Island, Orange, Texas. Furman loved the outdoors, enjoying gardening, fishing, and golf. Many friends and family enjoyed his famous fish fries, and sharing the bounty of his garden. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Imogene Beck and, Barbara Flesher, a brother, Charles William "Frank" Ray, son-in-law, Warren Layne, mother-in-law and, father-in-law, Winston and Essie Davis.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Ray City, GA Mr. Ray will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Ray City First Baptist Church building fund.
