Of Lake Park, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. Ms. Runnels was born on December 29, 1945 to the late Mary Sneed Shipp and Jason Jackson Cross in Cleveland, Tennessee. Ms. Runnels loved to work in her garden. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Ray Runnels, son, SSgt.Avely Wayne Runnels; Brothers: Don Cross and Raymond Cross.
Survivors include her son, Danny Lucas (Corky) of Inglis, Florida; Daughters: Rena Thornton (Eric) of Lake Park, Georgia, Shirley Lucas of Elk City, Oklahoma; 9 Grandchildren, 6 Brothers and Sisters and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00, Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Music Funeral Services of Valdosta, Georgia.
