Hilda Marie Featherstone

Of Lakeland passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 in the Magnolia Manor in Americus, Georgia. She was born February 22, 1926 in Berrien County, Georgia to the late Pleamon Nichols and Mary Ellen Clements Sirmans. She worked as a nurse and later went to work with the Lanier County School System as a Substitute Teacher. She was a member of the Lakeland United Methodist Church and loved singing in the Church Choir. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Featherstone, Jr. and a daughter, Linda Featherstone.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 in the Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial following at in Andersonville National Cemetery, in Andersonville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 6-8 p.m.
