Homer Lee Lightsey – 81

Of Valdosta, GA passed away early Wednesday morning, January 14, 2004 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Dania, FL and had lived in Lowndes County most of his life. He was a truck driver, retired from Langdale Forest Products Division. Mr. Lightsey was Baptist by faith. Preceding Mr. Lightsey in death were his wife, Annie Laura Register Lightsey, daughter, Debbie June Lightsey and son, Howard Lee Lightsey.

Survivors include, 5 daughters & sons-in-law, Betty Ann and Jere Norville, Murfreesboro, TN, Pat and Jimmy Pitts, Valdosta, GA, Carolyn and Larry Conner, Wasilla, AK, Jeannie and Ed Hill, Monrovia, CA, Janice and Don Logue, Lake City, FL, 2 sons & daughter-in-law, David and M J Lightsey, Wasilla, AK, Jeffrey Alan Lightsey, Valdosta, GA

20 Grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren

A number of nieces and nephews

Graveside funeral service were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2004 at Burnt Church Cemetery in Lakeland, GA.

Visitation will begin after 5:00 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. tonight.

Music Funeral Services, Lakeland is serving the Lightsey family.
