Horace Vaughn, Jr. - 77

Of Lakeland passed away Saturday Afternoon April 2, 2005 in Tifton after a sudden illness. He was born in Berrien County to the late Horace and Lula Vaughn, Sr. He had lived in Lakeland for the most of his life. He was a member of the New River Free Holiness Church where he served faithfully. After many of his fishing trips he would gather his family and friends for a time of fellowship and fish fry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jones Vaughn, daughter, Wanda Kaye Vaughn, brother, Billy E. Vaughn and a sister, Margaret Royals.

Survivors Include: Daughter, Susan V. Barber, Lakeland, Annie V. May, Lakeland, Sons and Daughter-in-law, Ronnie D. and Sarah Vaughn, Tifton, Danny M. Vaughn, Lakeland, 5 Grandchildren
5 Great Grandchildren, 4 Brothers, John A. Vaughn, Charles P. Vaughn, Donald E. Vaughn, Jimmy L. Vaughn, all of Lakeland, 2 Sisters, Mary Nell Chaney, Naylor, Judith Ann Palmer, Lakeland and a number of nieces of nephews.


Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the New River Free Holiness Church with the Bro. Stephen B. Vaughn and the Rev. A.D. Connell officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Flowers were accepted or donations can be made to New River Free Holiness Church.

Music Funeral Services of Lakeland is serving the Vaughn family.
