Hudson Luke Garrett, 7, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 22, 2019, in Savannah, Georgia, to his loving and devoted parents, Blake and Lindsey (Zeigler) Garrett.
Hudson was truly one of a kind, with a personality bigger than life itself. He was opinionated, full of character, and always found a way to let those around him know exactly how he felt. He had a way of making his presence known and leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
Hudson was best known for his beautiful smile. Regardless of the challenges or difficulties he faced, there was always a way to bring a smile to his face. He found happiness in the simple things in life, especially bubbles, bright colors, and anything blue, which was his favorite color. He loved trips to the beach, where feeling the ocean waves wash over him would bring an instant smile to his face.
Hudson was a big Disney fan and especially enjoyed watching his favorite Disney and Pixar movies. He loved the many trips to Walt Disney World that he shared with his family, creating special memories along the way.
Some of Hudson's happiest moments were spent at home on the family homestead, surrounded by his 16 chickens, two dogs, and one cat. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, swinging, and seeing the beautiful sunflowers when they bloomed.
Hudson also looked forward to attending therapy, where he enjoyed spending time with his cheerleaders and visiting with his friends. He had a special connection with those who cared for him.
During difficult times, his mama often found comfort in a familiar saying from one of his favorite Disney movies, Finding Nemo, "Just Keep Swimming." Those three simple words became a reminder to keep moving forward, no matter what challenges came their way.
But more than anything, Hudson taught those around him lessons that cannot be measured in years. He taught us to find happiness in the little things, to meet the world with a smile whenever we can, and to keep going even when the waters get rough.
“Life is Still Beautiful”.
Hudson is preceded in death by his grandfathers: Ronnie Myracle and Paul Young.
Hudson is survived by his precious parents, Blake and Lindsey Garrett of Hahira, Georgia; his sweet little brother, Noah Garrett of Hahira, Georgia; maternal grandparents, Shea Zeigler (Clint) of Ray City, Georgia; paternal grandparents, Tammy Garrett (Tommy) of Barney, Georgia; maternal great grandmother, Pat Myracle of Hahira, Georgia; paternal great grandmother, Ann Young of Barney, Georgia; maternal great grandparents, Leera Zeigler (Jack) of Hahira, Georgia; paternal great grandparents James William Garret and Billy JO Garret of Nashville, Georgia; uncles: Dawson Zeigler of Ray City, Georgia and Jarred Garrett (Lauren) of Adel, Georgia; cousins: Bryce, Braxton, Brinson, and Brayton; numerous loving family members and friends; a loving online community that supported Hudson from near and far.
