Of Ray City passed away at the Memorial Hospital of Adel on Sunday, March 24th, 2007 following a lengthy illness. He was born on May 13th, 1930 in Lanier County to the late Benny and Estelle Sirmans and had lived in Ray City most of his life. He was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Stone and a brother, Isaac Sirmans. He was an Army Veteran and a farmer by occupation. He was of the Missionary Baptist faith.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 26th, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. in Knights Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Lakeland with interment to follow at Mud Creek Cemetery in Lanier County.
