Ira Eugene Fender – 77
Of DuPont, Georgia passed away Tuesday afternoon October 9, 2012 at his residence following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born March 5, 1935 in Clinch County, Georgia to the late Marvin and Martha Janie Sirmans Fender. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons Ira Darrell Fender and Ronnie Eugene Fender, his grandson Josh Browning, and his brother-in-law Darrell Royals. Before returning to Clinch County, Georgia to work with Brockway and Lee Engineering prior to retiring, he was employed as a fireman for 16 years in Albany, Georgia. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, teaching his children and grandchildren. He attended Lang Memorial Church in Clinch County, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday October 11, 2012 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in North Cemetery in Clinch County, Georgia.
