Iris Farlene Manning – 82
Of Ray City passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 9, 1931 in Waycross, GA. She retired from South Georgia Medical Center after 20 years as a CNA and she had worked in Jacksonville, FL at St. Lukes Hospital. Mrs. Manning was a member of the Ray City United Methodist church and a member of the Ray City Auxiliary Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Manning, mother and father, Gladys Cribb Wilson Lee and Ezra Lee, her biological father, Farley Wilson, a brother, Charles Wilson, a daughter, Kathy Harpe, and a grandson, Mickey Brown.
She is survived by, Son & Daughter –in-Law, Jimmy & Judy Manning of Jacksonville, FL; Son, Bruce Wayne Kennedy of Jacksonville, FL; Daughter, Rossina Harrell of Valdosta, GA; Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Rhonda & Randy Cheatham of Jacksonville, FL; Diane & Sid Davis of Ray City, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Keith & Carole Manning of Ray City, GA; Son, Gary Manning of Ray City, GA; 24 Grandchildren; 48 Great Grandchildren; and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Ray City United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Mrs. Manning will be placed in church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
