J. F. Burkhalter

Of Lakeland, passed away Tuesday evening, January 25, 2011 in the South Georgia Medical Center after declining health for some time. He was born February 11, 1943 to the late Howard and Zeldora Mathis Burkhalter in Lanier County, Georgia. He retired from Brockway Standard in 2003 as a machine operator. He was a Southern Baptist and attended church at First Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 First Baptist Church of Lakeland with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
