Jack Edward Johnson Sr.

Jack Edward Johnson, Sr. – 85 of Valdosta, GA passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 28, 1935 in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Edward & Maebell (Griffis) Johnson. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Johnson retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a bridge foreman. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law: Becky Johnson and 2 sisters: Ann Hendrix & Ruby Rathbun.
Survivors Include: Wife of 63 years: June Johnson, Valdosta, GA; Daughter: Jackie Miller (Drew), Valdosta, GA; Son: Jack E. “Bubba” Johnson, Jr., Valdosta, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Ashlie Simmons (Justin), Amie Diaz (Luis), Jack E. Johnson III (Laynee), Dustin Miller (Lindsey) and Jennifer Miller; 11 Great Grandchildren and Sister: Barbara Warren, Patterson, GA.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery, Frank S.
