In Loving Memory of Jaime West Peters

It is with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes, we announce the passing of Jaime West Peters on October 14, 2026, as she was surrounded by family. At the age of 46, she fought a courageous battle of cancer for over two years with dignity and an unwavering spirit. Born on July 18, 1980, in Rahway, New Jersey. At the age of two, her family moved to Valdosta GA, where she became a southerner at heart.

Jaime was an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of getting to know her. She brought warmth, strength and devotion to every role she held in life, but none more precious to her than being Camryn’s mother. Her love for Camryn was at the heart of who she was, and she treasured every opportunity to support, encourage and celebrate her daughter. The love she gave, and the memories they shared will remain a lasting part of her legacy. Her most treasured moments were spent watching Camryn’s dance recitals and piano competitions, sharing the joy and pride of her daughters’ accomplishments.

She brought laughter, fun, and a little spontaneity to life, making memories, enjoying the moment, and sometimes saying, “Why Not?” Her playful spirit, generous heart and love for her family made her truly the amazing person that she was!

For more than ten years, Jaime dedicated herself to Fellowship Home at Brookside, where she served as Regional Dining Services Director. Her commitment to her work reflected the care and dependability she brought to all she did. She loved her job and all of The Fellowship Family.

In her spare time, she enjoyed going to beaches in Florida, Disney World trips with Camryn, fishing, jet skiing, scalloping, socializing with all the people in boats at Grassy Island in Keaton Beach FL, baking beautiful creations, movie nights at home - watching EVERY movie Disney ever made, and listening to Camryn’s terrible jokes! As a child, she watched “The Wizard of Oz” movie so many times that she memorized All the words. Every Single One! The most eccentric item on her wish list was to visit Australia and go Great White Shark Cage Diving!

She was a beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Granddaughter, Niece, Cousin, Friend and Co-worker, whose presence touched many lives.

Jaime was preceded in death by her Love, Bobby Gordon Futch II. She is survived by her beloved Daughter, Camryn Futch; her Parents, Sandy and Tom Davis of Hahira, GA; her Brother, Erich Hense and his children, Declan, Ella, Harlan and Apollo of Hampton, FL;

Her Father, Gerhard Pete Hense of New Port Richey, FL; her Sisters and Brothers-in-Law, Jennifer and Curt Huey of Holly Springs, MS; Emily and Mark Embrey and their son Brooks, of Spring, TX;

and Granny Dot Futch, of Steinhatchee, FL. Jaime also leaves behind many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Extended Family Members, and Dear Friends, who will cherish her memory.

Though her time here on Earth was far too short, Jaime’s legacy lives on in the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the countless memories she leaves behind. She will be loved always, missed beyond words, and remembered forever.
