James O Carpenter

James Orvle Carpenter – 72
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Ervin and Avilee (Reed) Carpenter on April 18, 1946. James served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1971 where he was an airplane mechanic and in the 6549th OMS.
Survivors include his
Wife of 50 years, Mary Carpenter of Valdosta, GA;
Daughter and Son in Law, Dawn and Joey Kent of Valdosta, GA;
Grandchildren, Tyson, Colton, and Camden;
Sister, Phyllis Berggren (Loren) of Pinellas Park, FL;
nephew, Michael (Chantale) and Jason (Bonnie) Berggren;
Tina Renshaw, Brenda Dew and Jeff Gibson; great nephews, neices and a great great niece in Rocklage, FL.
along with numerous extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service here at the funeral home. The family requests that donations be made to Westside Baptist Church of Valdosta in lieu of flowers.
