James Edward Carter, Sr. 67
of Hahira, GA passed away early Sunday morningDecember 16, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center after an apparent heart attack. He was born on August 16, 1940 in Lowndes County Ga. to the late Ivey C. and Ressie Lee Fender Carter. He worked for Twenty years as a salesman for Toms snacks, and was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Bradley Neuman, and two brothers, Eugene M. Carter and Paul A. Carter

Funeral Services for will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 19, 2007 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with with Rev. Don Smith officiating burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday December 18, 2007evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
