James Allen Dean - 66 of Hahira, Georgia died on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. James was born on November 10, 1954 in Orlando, Florida to the late Bertha Sue King and James Albert Dean. He was a graduate of Brooks County High School and received his technical certification for outboard boat repairs. He later went on to operate his own boat repair business. James was a loving husband and father. He loved motorcycles and was a gun enthusiast. He always enjoyed animals. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
James is survived by his loving wife of 36 years of Pat Dinkins Dean of Hahira, Georgia; two daughters, Jennifer Dean and Karen Dean, two grandchildren, River Folsom and Bailey Catoire all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four step-sons, Rick Begue (Rachel) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Rob Begue (Judy) of Lake Park, Georgia, Matt Begue (Kathy) of Hahira, Jon Begue (Melissa) of Wilmington, North Carolina. He has seven step-grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. James had cousins he grew up with as brothers and throughout his life remained friends with
several people he had known since early childhood.
A celebration of life service for James Allen Dean will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 with visitation at 1:00 and service at 2:00 PM in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services, with Chaplain Jim Schappaugh officiating.
