James Dowdy

Of Ray City, passed away Friday morning, August 14, 2009 in the Berrien County Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 17, 1933 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the late Homer and Josephine Stovall Dowdy. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He later opened Dowdy Paint and Body and was Baptist by faith. He is preceded in death two sisters, two brothers, and his first wife Willadean Dowdy.

Wife Rebecca A. Dowdy

3 daughters Barbara Noles, Pat Browning, & Debbie Dowdy

Son Timmy Dowdy

3 Step Sons Wayne Hughes, Donnie Hughes, and
James Carroll Hughes

Step Daughter Patty Siniard

Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, August 14, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. As per his wishes he will be cremated. The family requests no flowers.
