James Coston Fender, 83,
Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. He was born on August 14, 1937 in Naylor, Georgia to the late Coston and Ruby Bennett Fender. His paternal grandparents were Bryant and Effie Tomlinson Fender and his maternal grandparents were John T. and Elizabeth Spradley Bennett. He served 8 years as a U.S. Army Paratrooper. After serving his country, he became an Electrician with IBEW Union 511. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James Kenny Fender, One grandson, Kalum Fender, One sister, Margie Fender Adcock and three brothers, Carol, Billy and Ronnie Fender.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia Knight Fender. His son and daughter in-law, Ricky and Janet Fender. Five grandchildren, James, Paige, Nikki, Ricky Jr and Travis. He also has 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 6th, 2020 at Empire Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
