Of Ray City passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on September 30, 1939 in Adel GA to the late James P. Fountain and Lounell Futch Fountain. He was a veteran of US Navy where he proudly served on the USS Saratooga. He was a graduate of Valdosta State College with a business degree. He retired from Xerox Corporation after 35 years. He then began and retired from a second career at Valdosta State University print shop. He loved restoring old cars, tractors and antique mowers. He was a member of First Baptist of Ray City. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: Wife of 51 years, Resey Fountain of Ray City, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Margo and Mike Montgomery of Ray City, GA; Sons and daughter-in-law’s, Tommy and Faith Fountain of Carrollton, GA; Bill and Susan Schools of Ray City, GA; Grandchildren: Lori-Ann and Josh McFather, Mickey Montgomery and Cara Robinson, Brittany Fountain and Mitch Hughes, Kailey Fountain, Jamie Fountain; Great Grand-Daughter, Haleigh McFather;
Sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Mickey Richards of Carrollton, GA; Sister-in-Law & Brother-in-Law, Sara & Johnnie Brantley of Ray City, GA; Aunts and Uncles, Diane & Joe Sizemore, Elwood & Edith Mayo. A number of nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 11:00 AM in First Baptist of Ray City with burial to follow in New Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Music Funeral Services of Lakeland.
