James “Jim” W. Gilham – 70 of Quitman, GA passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020 in his home after a lengthy illness. Jim was born on August 22, 1949 in Birmingham, AL to the late James O. and Peggy (Walker) Gilham. Jim was the owner and operator of Jim’s Asphalt Seal Coating, Inc. He will always be remembered for the loving husband, father, and grandfather that he was. Jim enjoyed camping and working in his yard; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren; a favorite thing was going to watch their sporting events.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Janet B. Gilham of Quitman, Georgia; Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Melody Wilson and husband Scott of Valdosta, Georgia; Nancy Evans and husband Todd of Quitman, Georgia; Grandchildren: Mia, Emma Grace, Ella, Alex, Sam, and Noah; Brother and Sister-in-Law, Robert (Rufus) Gilham and wife, Susan of Johnson City, Tennessee; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Shirley Kirby and husband Blane of Tampa, Florida; Several nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service to honor Jim’s life will be held Wednesday April 22, 2020 in Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life service at his home church that will be announced at a later date. Special messages may be left to the family at
