James Richard Gray – 65
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in the Holly Hill Nursing Home in Valdosta, GA. He was born on October 31, 1948 in Douglas, GA to Archie and Stella Mae McMillian Gray. He worked in the law enforcement, EMS, Fire Department, and the Corrections State Highway Department. He was a member of the Lakeland Masonic Lodge #434, NRA, and Peace Officers Association. Along with his parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Joyce Cooper, two brothers, Shorty & Witt Gray, one sister, Jenny Gray, and a son-in-law, Derek North.
His survivors include, Wife, Susie Gray of Lakeland, GA; Children, Donnie Gray of Lakeland, GA; Betty Taylor of Cartersville, GA; Ruby North of Stockton, GA; Tina Gray of Statenville, GA; Edith Pittman of Lakeland, GA; Jenny Coleman of Lakeland, GA; 10 Grandchildren, Anthony, Nathan, Cleston-Lee, Krystin, Kelsey, Terra, Justin, Taylor, Julie, Jake; 2 Great Grandchildren, Dallas, & Carson; Brothers, Buck John Gray of Sparks, GA; Putty Gray of Douglas, GA; Dolly Gray of Brandton, FL; Sister, Josephine Ruddeseal of Gainesville, GA; Mother-In-Law, Tammie Evans of Lakeland, GA; And a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City, GA.
