James M. Harmon – 92
Of Homerville, GA passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on September 19, 1927 in Crossett, AR to the late Charlie Bert Harmon and Ruby (Mausehardt) Harmon. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii. He owned and operated the Amoco Station in Homerville and later retired from the United States Postal Service. Along with his parents and step mother, Gertrude (Brown) Harmon, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Martha H. (Kirkland) Harmon, infant daughter, Nancy Lenora Harmon, 2 sisters, Charlene Hazlett and Alma Jean Letbetter.
Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Gail Harmon Cason (Louie A.) of Homerville, GA; Daughter, Ava Marie Harmon of Ray City, GA; Grandchildren: Macy Moses (Dakota), Grier Watson (Clay Trowell); Great Grandson, Langston Moses Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; 2 Brothers, Doyle Harmon of Monticello, AR and Paul Harmon of Monticello, AR.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2019 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Pine Forest Cemetery, Homerville, GA.
