James Bailey “J.B.” Bennett – 79
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his residence. He was born on May 1, 1938 in Adel, GA to the late Carlton and Fannie Lee (Raper) Bennett. He worked as Heavy Equipment Operator for Wainer’s Construction Company, Shiloh Farms, Brooks Welding, Copeland Construction, and Cowart Construction. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Bennett, Mary Carolyn Boykin, Dianne Lynn Long; Brother, Edwin Carlton Bennett.
Survivors Include: 5 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Sheryl & Jimmy Webb, Nashville, GA, Marsha Bennett, Blackwell, OK, Jamie Cline, Ft. Smith, AR, Sandra & Kenneth Short, Washington, DC and Patricia & Ronald Ganzer, Valdosta, GA; 4 Brothers: Donald Bennett, Punta Gorda, FL, Gerald Bennett, Adel, GA, Kenneth Bennett, Adel, GA and Phillip Bennett, Punta Gorda, FL; Sister: Shirley Brady, Adel, GA, Sharon Sims, Punta Gorda; Companion in Life: Barbara Crosby, Sparks, GA; 17 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
