James T. “Jim” White – 83
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 21, 1935 in Shelbyville, TN to the late Johnnie Allen and Daisy Dean (Cook) White. He retired from the United States Airforce. He also served on the Lakeland City Council and the Lanier County Commissioner. Mr. White enjoyed fishing, golfing and community involvement. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Thomas White, two brothers, Morris White and Allen White, and a sister, Ruth W. Stone.
Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Dianne (White) and Ron Fate of Lakeland, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Allan and Patrice White of Lakeland, GA; Son, David White of Ray City, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Michael and Michelle White of Washington State;7 Grandchildren;
6 Great Grandchildren; Special Granddaughter, Mary Folsom of Lakeland, GA
And numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
