James "Jimmy" Castleberry – 70

Of Hahira, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on December 18, 1944 in Valdosta, GA to Steven and Clarice Fountain Castleberry. He worked for over 16 years with Jacuzzi and 22 years with Bathcraft. He was appreciated as a leader in both his professional and personal life. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his clear morals and strong values set an example for all those whose lives he touched.

Jimmy will be remembered by many for his exceptional mechanical abilities. From his small shop he restored cars, tuned go-karts, and built and maintained drag-racing cars, among many other things. Above all, Jimmy will be remembered for the unconditional love he demonstrated to his family, around which he centered his life.

Jimmy's happiest moments were spent playing softball in the yard with his children, riding roller coasters with the grandkids, or simply gathering around with the entire family for an evening meal. After 44 years of marriage, Jimmy remained steadfastly devoted to his wife, with whom he made a point to take out to dinner every Friday night.

Jimmy's sincerity, kindness, and dependability will be remembered by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Castleberry.

His survivors include his

Daughter, Shannon Argent of Hahira, GA;
Son & Daughter-in-Law, Terry & Tamara Castleberry of Hahira, GA;
Daughter & Son-in-Law, Amy & Mont McConnell of Valdosta;
4 Grandchildren;
Sisters, Sherry Yarbrough, Jan Castleberry, Shalyn Wilson
Brother, Gilbert Castleberry
and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
