James Herbert Johnson – 51

Of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 1, 2016, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on August 9, 1964 in Hahira, GA to Robert Lee and Jessie Annette McGuryt Johnson, Sr. He was a member of the Abundant Life Church of God and was a groundskeeper for Sunset Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James H. and Judy Morrell, Sr., and his sister, Carol Johnson Yingling.

Survivors include his Wife, Irene Morrell Johnson of Valdosta, GA; Mother, Jessie Annette Johnson of Hahira, GA; Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Hannah & Robert Duda of Valdosta, GA,
Brandi & Jay Broome of Hahira, GA; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Margaret & Milt Haaland of Hahira, GA; Sister, Susan Johnson Dyal of Hahira, GA; Brothers, Robert Johnson of NV,
Michael Andrew Johnson of CO; Granddaughters, Brittany Michelle Sumner, Sarah Angel Duda, Chanda Rae Oliver; Grandson, Ethan James Broome; Sister-in-Law and Brother-in-Law, Liz Hack and Roger Suggs of Valdosta, GA; Brother-in-Law, James H. Morrell, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. As per his wishes, James will be cremated with no formal services to be held. In lieu of flowers, some friends of the family have created a Go Fund Me account to which donations can be made. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com . Music Funeral Services/Azalea Crematory of Valdosta is serving the family.
