James Eugene Gene Kellogg, PhD – 73
Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Langdale Hospice House after a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1939 in Creston, IA to the late Curtis Eugene & Blanche Prather Kellogg. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Mr. Kellogg worked at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in the library. After moving to Valdosta, he worked with Fresh Beginnings in their Clerical Department.
He is survived by a nephew, two nieces and a cousin.
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Christ Fellowship Church, 410 Connell Rd, Valdosta, GA. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Church World Service at www.cwsglobal.com .
