James "Fred" Killgore

James Frederick "Fred" Killgore – 68

Of Lakeland, GA passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 in Deland, FL after a sudden illness. He was born on October 20, 1947 in Valdosta, GA to the late Robert S. & Verba Lee Dixon Killgore. Fred was an active member of Southside Baptist Church, "Explore the Bible" Sunday School Class and the church choir. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Saratoga. He retired from Empire Distributing after over 32 years of service. He enjoyed participating in the "Milltown Motorcade", attending car shows, fishing, hunting and conversations at the round table. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Killgore.

Survivors Include: Wife, Diane Killgore, Lakeland; Daughter & Son-in-law: Kim & Chance Black, Richmond Hill, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law: Jim & Melissa Killgore, Hahira; Grandchildren: Mackensie Killgore, Jud Killgore, Samuel Black and Jordan Black; Step Daughter: Missy Mullican, Lakeland; Step Son: Tony Watson, Savannah, GA; Son-in-law: Bryan Mullican, Lakeland; Twin Brother& Sister-in-law: William "Freddy" & Phyllis Killgore, Valdosta; His beloved pet: Penny and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. Mr. Killgore will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday night, June 7, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church.
