James Lowell Lane – 88
Of Valdosta passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 in Lakehaven Nursing Home. He was born in Pearson, GA on March 26, 1921 to the late Lonnie Boswell & Myrtle Ratliff Lane. He lived in the Valdosta area his entire life. He married the late Lily Ada Dickerson on January 3, 1941 and they were blessed with 12 children. He served in the Army, a veteran of WWII. He was a farmer for a number of years, worked in Civil Service at Moody Air Force Base and later retired from Owen Illinois. He was always a hard worker, providing for his family. He was a member of Pine Grove Community Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, as son Richard Lane and a brother Ronald Oliver both of Valdosta, GA.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Cat Creek Cemetery with Bro. Roger Culpepper, of Pine Grove Community Baptist Church, officiating.
