James "Jim" Mac Mathis

James “Jim” Mac Mathis – 67 of Lakeland, GA passed away on Monday June 1, 2020 in the South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 26, 1952 in Lakeland, GA to the late Lousie Tomblinson and Sineath Elwood Math. Jim was a maintenance technician at The South Georgia Medical Center Lanier Campus for many years until his retirement. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Mathis.
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Terry H. Mathis of Lakeland, Georgia; Children: John Andros and wife Julie of Homerville, Georgia, Paul Andros of Lakeland, Georgia, Sherry A. Spencer and husband, Todd of ST. Louis, Missouri, Steven Mathis of New Orleans, Louisiana; Grandchildren: Kristi, John, Christopher, Zachary, Taylor; Great Grandchildren: Emili, Grant; Sisters, Patricia Sellers of Valdosta, Georgia, Brenda Heasley of Lakeland, Georgia, Mary Lynn Colburn of Homerville, Georgia; Numerous nieces and nephews.
A family visitation will be held on Friday June 5, 2020 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Thoughts of kindness may be left to the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
