Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Martin was born February 12, 1941 to the late A. Lyle and Eloise Junferman Martin. Mr. Martin worked with the Palm Beach County School System for over 38 years as a teacher, principal, and administrator. Jim was an active member of St. Johns Catholic Church where he served as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. No matter where life took him he always enjoyed being a part of the communities that he lived in. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Martin
Survivors include: Devoted Wife of 47 year, Jeane Martin, Valdosta, Ga.; 2 Sons & Daughter-in-law, John & Ashlee Martin, West Palm Beach, FL. J.J. & Sue Martin, Valdosta, GA.; 9 Grandchildren: Max, Carter, Chandler, Grace, Jackson, Tess, Amanda, Alissa and Robbie. Aunt Artis Johnson; Sister-in-law: Pat Martin Cousins, Ronne Tubb, Caroline Garrison, Tom Thompson Charlene; Niece & Nephew: Julie Barrentine Rex, Todd Martin Holly and a Host of devoted friends & extended family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 10, 2013 in theValdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
