James "Pappy" Paffhausen – 87
Of Valdosta, GA passed away early Friday morning, June 6, 2014 at Langdale Hospice. He was born May 30, 1927 in South Bend, IN to the late Adam and Dorothy Gohn Paffhausen. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the V.F.W. American Legion. He was a car salesman with Langdale Ford Company. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Paffhausen, daughter, Kathy and son, Rick James.
His survivors include his,
Daughter & Son-in-Law, Judy & Richard Rhodes of Michigan;
Grandson, Richard James Paffhausen of Michigan;
Granddaughter, Audra Sweet of Michigan;
Grandsons, Joseph Paul Southerland and Richard James Southerland;
4 Great Grandchildren;
And Sister, Deloris Darlene Try of Haines City, FL.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, June 9, 2014 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Park, GA. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made The American Legion, V.F.W. or The Wounded Warriors Fund. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
