Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 10, 1956 in Atlanta, GA to Emerson D. and Jesse Joann Sells Powell. He worked in sales with Valdosta Toyota in Valdosta, GA. Dennis was a graduate of Mid America Seminary in Memphis, TN. He was a minster of the gospel serving as a youth minister later serving inmates through prison ministry, with his wife. He attended Southland Church in Valdosta, GA.
His survivors include Wife, Connie Sue Powell of Valdosta, GA; Daughters & Sons-in-Laws, Leslie Nicole Adam Steel of Valdosta, GA, Kristin DeAnn Dusty Edwards of Valdosta, GA,
Rebekah Danielle Tommy Davis of Valdosta, GA; Stepsons, Terry A. Tamatha Hines of Valdosta, GA, Cameron D. Nancy Hines of Valdosta, GA; Sister, Elaine Kinchen of Lake Park, GA; Brother, Daniel D. Powell of Lake Park, GA, Andy Powell of Lake Park, GA; Grandchildren, Gwyneth E. Steel, Shelby G. Steel, Bennett E. Steel, W. Funeral services will be held 4:00PM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at the funeral home. A private interment service will be held at a later date.
