Of Valdosta, GA passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 24, 1943 to the late James Howell & Eddie Mae Powell Shaffer in Brooks County, GA. He was a member of First Assembly of God and worked as a car salesman & transporter for Elite Motors Owner, Randy Griffin. He loved to fish, cook and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Shaffer.
Survivors Include: Wife of 34 years, Elaine Shaffer, Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Sons-in-law, Connie & Robert Englemann, Valdosta, GA; 2 Sons & Daughters-in-law, Chris & Catherine Wills, Valdosta, GA, James Tracy & Jessi Shaffer, Pinetta, FL; 7 Grandchildren: Cody Englemann Christina, Chrystal Parsons Cameron, Lindsey Englemann, Jillian Wills, Ashley Topp, Brandy Shaffer and James Stetson Shaffer; Great Grandson: Skylar Topp; Brother & Sister-in-law, Gerald & Priscilla Shaffer, Tennessee; Special Friends, Donnie & Linda Murray, Valdosta, Heather & Robert Corbin, Valdosta and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 10, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday Night, November 9, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
