James Orville Smith, Sr.

James O. Smith, Sr. – 65 Of Valdosta passed away Sunday Morning February 27, 2005 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Metter, Ga. after a Sudden Illness. He was born on January 28, 1940 in Homerville, Ga. to the late Virgil and Lola Smith. Mr. Smith had lived in Valdosta for most of his life. He worked with Owens-Illinois for many years. He was Baptist by faith. Survivors Include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Callie and Glenn Moore, 2 Sons, James O. Smith, Jr., Jesse Smith, all of Valdosta, 3 Grandchildren: Austin Smith, Caleb Moore, and Gabe Moore, Brother George W. Smith, Lake Mary, Fl, Sister, Margorie Hall, Blairsville, Ga, 1 Niece, Joy Jaegle, 3 Nephews, Jay Smith, Kenneth Hall, and Douglas Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M on Tuesday March 1, 2005 at the funeral home with Graveside Services to follow at 3:00 P.M. in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
