James Larry Spires – 74
Passed away on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1944 in Indian Town, FL to the late James and Sarah (Gillis) Spires. James served in The United States Navy having served in Vietnam. Afterwards, he was a truck driver for over twenty years before becoming the head of grounds maintenance at Wild Adventures for several years
Survivors include; Wife, Patricia (Patsy) Spires of Valdosta, Ga; Children: Son, Rodney Spires; Daughter and Son-in-law, Shannon Spires Moxley and Shannon Moxley, Daughter, Sonja Coley, Daughter and Son-in-law, Cassy & Brian Thornton, Daughter and Son-in-law, Jamie Spires Parr and Jey Parr, Daughter and Son-in-law, Toni Spires Hudson and David Hudson; Grandchildren: Dakota Hightower, Tiffany King, Heather Coley Bell, Thomas Coley, Logan Rowland, Elsie James Parr, MaKayla Moxley; 7 great grandchildren , Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Kaye Jones of Macon, Ga; Sheila & Punk Johns of Roberta, Ga; Melba Mosley of Macon, Ga; Brother, Geary Spires of Valdosta, GA., And numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
