Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Friday morning, April 13, 2018. Michael was born on August 25, 1993 in Valdosta, GA to Michael Thomas Carter and Inell Virginia Knight. Michael worked in construction as a sub - contractor. Michael had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. He had an infectious laugh and you could always catch him with a smile on his face. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, golfing, riding his motorcycle but most importantly being with his family. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Carter and his cousin, Dusty Henderson.
Survivors include: His parents; Sister and Brother-in-law, Britany and Jordan Patten of Lakeland, GA; Niece and Nephew, Carter and Lennex Patten; Grand-Daddy , James “Tommy” Carter, Valdosta, GA; Grandmother “Nana”, Velma Knight, Statenville, GA; Aunts and Uncles- Ricky Carter, of Valdosta, Kimberly and Franklin Vinson of Valdosta, Lorne Carter of Valdosta, Reagan and Jan Carter of Valdosta, Inez and Dennis Henderson of Statenville, Bubba and Shay Knight of Valdosta, and Jeannette Nichols of Lake Park; Cousins, Ricky Carter, Candie Carter, Kyle Nolan, Jessica Tutt, Dusty Carter, Dylan Carter, Dara Carter, Cameron Anderson, Trevor Carter, Austin Carter, Ava Carter, Mackenzye Epler, Brayden Epler, Landyn Folsom, Kalynn Tutt, Adelyn Tutt, Elena Sanchez, Wilkes Nolan, Matt and Erica Henderson, Keith Henderson, DJ Henderson, Gracie Knight, Destiny Knight, Alexis Nichols, Maddison Nichols, Morgan Nichols, Kylan Moore and Katlyn Nichols.
Funeral services for James Michael Carter will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta with burial to follow in Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
