James Darrell Tichinel, age 83, of Lake Park, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at his residence. He was born on August 24, 1939, in Vindex, Maryland to the late James and Juanita Boyce Tichinel. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Micheal Boles, brother, Jack Tichinel, a sister, Brenda Tichinel, 2 brothers-in-law Tom Via Sr. & Sol Via, a nephew, Tommy Via Jr., niece, Gwen Via. James graduated from Southern Garrett High School in 1958. He retired from Caterpillar in Pontiac Illinois in 1999. James spent many years in ministry for the Lord. While he pastored, he was part of the jail ministry, taught Sunday School and helped with the Royal Rangers, bus ministry. He was also an assistant pastor. His goal was to work for the Lord.
Survivors include: Wife of 35 years, Asceneth Joanne "Dean" Hay Tichinel, Son, Mark Tichinel (Susan), Son, Tim Tichinel (Kathy), Son, Ron Loving (Carrie), Daughter, Kimberly Boles, Daughter, Alysia Barone. 18 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren. Brothers & Sisters-in-laws: Roger Tichinel (Glenda), Joe Tichinel (Shirley), Rodney Tichinel (Debbie), Sisters: Barbara Via, Patricia Via and a number of nieces & nephews.
