James Thomas “Tommy” Carter – 83
Of Valdosta passed away early Friday evening, July 2, 2021 in the Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. He was born on August 27, 1937 in Echols County Georgia to the late Homer Jackson and Annie Ruth (McLeod) Carter. He was employed as a machine operator with Crackin Good Bakers prior to his retirement and a lifelong automobile mechanic. He was a member of the Lake Park Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis L. Carter and a grandson, James Michael Thomas Carter.

Anderson, Trevor Carter, Mackenzye Epler, Braydon Epler, Austin Carter, Landyn Folsom, Ava Carter, Kalynn Tutt, Carter Patten, Elena Sanchez, Lennex Patten, Adelyn Tutt, Wilkes Nolan. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. The family will receive friends on Monday July 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
