Of Clinch County, GA passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 14, 2013, at his residence after a lengthy illness of heart and lung problems. He was born December 20, 1951 at the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL, to his father the late James Talmadge Gaskins, his mother Jewell D. Lee Gaskins. Mr. Gaskins graduated from N.B. Forrest High School, Jacksonville, FL, in 1969, and attended FCCjJin Jacksonville, FL. He is also a graduate of Horticulture School at Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta, GA.
In addition to being an Electrician and a Well Driller for Partridge Well Drilling, he was also a Tire Store Manager for Park & King and Kelly Tire Company in Florida and Georgia. He retired from Kelly in 2000 due to health problems, returning to Clinch County, GA. Jason his son became his caregiver. Carpentry was his pleasure in life. Jimmy played the electric guitar and had a green thumb; he could make things grow. He was a trained small plane pilot and a volunteer Fire Fighter in Greensboro, GA. He was also a deep sea diver and enjoyed talking with people; he never met a stranger.
In addition to his father, Jimmy is predeceased by a grandson, Jaiden Gaskins.
