Janice Taylor Armstrong – 66
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Wednesday evening, August 31, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 6, 1949 at Smith Hospital in Hahira, GA to the late Paul Harwell Taylor and Janie Tyson Griffin. She was a strong Christian living the verse in Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Her love for the Lord always shined through in her conversation and walk in her daily life. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Valdosta. Before her graduation from Lanier County High School in Lakeland she was a varsity cheerleader and voted most school spirit by her senior class. She Attended Valdosta State College graduating from Auburn University with a teaching degree. Later she received her masters degree from Valdosta State College. She loved teaching children always telling her students to "make Mama proud". Traveling with her beloved husband she taught in The Republic of Panama, Japan, and Germany. Upon returning stateside she had the privilege of teaching in the Lanier County School system, Clinch County School System, and Valdosta City School. Janice worked as a school teacher for 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed exercising, walking, reading, decorating and cooking. Her natural ability to make friends and her smile, made lifelong friends everywhere she went.

Great Grandchildren: 13.Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M. on Sunday, September 4, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with entombment in Greenlawn cemetery.
