Janie Howell

Janie Howell, age 65, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born on February 13, 1960, in Hahira, Georgia, to the late Perry Harrell and Hilda Harrell (Warren) Faust. Janie had a deep love for animals and cherished her visits to the flea market. She found great joy and comfort in attending her home church, Hahira Church of God, and above all, she dearly loved her family. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers: James Harrell, J.T. Harrell, and Bobby Harrell.

Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years, Billy Howell of Hahira, Georgia; sister, Barbara Nelson (James) of Hahira, Georgia; niece Michele Brazell (Russell Nelson) of Hahira, Georgia; niece, Diane Harrell (Anton McCoggle) of Ray City, Georgia; niece, Allison Myers of Sparks, Georgia; nephew Steven Morrow of Jacksonville, Florida; Nephew, Wesley Harrell (Jennifer) of Lakeland, Georgia; Nephew Billy Ray Harrell (Kiesha) of Ray City, Georgia; nephew Randy Harrell of Lakeland, Georgia; numerous extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Guthrie Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the funeral home.
