Of Valdosta passed away Sunday morning, February 24, 2008 in the Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta after a brief illness. Mr. Thompson was born September 21, 1925 in Donaldsonville, GA to the late James William and Fannie Thompson. He was a member of Wrights Chapel Baptist Church in Echols County. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Audrey Odom.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday February 26, 2008 in the Wrights Chapel Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Mr. Thompson will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home
