Jean Lowery

Jean Lowery, 81, of Lake Park, GA passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on March 26, 1935 to the late Sherrell Austin and Hazel Austin. She was an active member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church and was a retired cashier at Wal-Mart. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Burneal Austin, Oneal Austin, L.C. Austin, Bondale Austin, sister, Patricia Ann Smith-Stufflet and Ross Lowery, father of Sheila.
Survivors include: Daughter, Sheila Lowery, Lake Park, Ga; 3 Sisters: Helen Poe, Monette, AR, Melva French Wayne, Jonesboro, AR, Jerrie TuckBob, Valdosta, GA; Brother, Jerry Don Austin, Leachville, AR; Special Friends: Jewel Pafford, Valdosta, GA, Carolyn Parr, Valdosta, GA, Tommy Keckley, Lake Park, GA and Ann LaRosa, Lake Park, GA and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until service time on Friday.
