Jeanette B. Cook, 83
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 her home. She was born on June 4, 1934 to the late Clifford Burkhalter and Beulah Moncrief Corbitt. She was one of the first employees working for the Lanier County School System when they started the handicap program for children for 25 years. Along with her parent she was preceded in death by: Husband, Leroy Cook; Grandson, Shane Thompson; Sister, Margaret Singletary; Brother, W.C. Smith.
Survivors include: 3 Sons & Daughter-in-law, Glen Cook of Lakeland, GA; Ronnie & Debora Ann Cook of Lakeland, GA; Randy Cook of Lakeland, GA; 2 Daughters & Son-in-law, Rhonda & Mike Thompson of Nashville, GA; Debbie & Wayne Browning of Lakeland, GA; Grandchildren: Michelle & Scott Braswell, Coby & Brandon Rice, Brian Cook, and Derrick & Megan Cook; Great Grandchildren: Jason, Seth, Salem & Michael Braswell, Carson Rice, Cambree Rice, Bree Cook.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Empire cemetery.
