Jeff Robert Carpenter – 62 of Hahira, Georgia passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Albany, Georgia on February 14, 1958 to Harry and Mary Ella (Cannon) Carpenter.
He had lived in the Valdosta/Hahira area for most of his life. He was very friendly and kind to all, Jeff had a great sense of humor, a loving heart and wonderful outlook on life. He made people comfortable with his love and laughter. He loved to fish, listen to music, and spend the days with his dogs, Lobo and Harley. He was always willing to share whatever he had with others, even if he had to go without. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Trudy Radford; and brother, Allen Carpenter of Valdosta, Georgia.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Carpenter Martin; 4 grandchildren: Brianna Matheny, Brittany Matheny, Dylan Poore, and Dawson Martin; 3 great grandchildren, all of Adel, Georgia; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Vickie and Tim Bruce of Deatsville, Alabama, and Robin and Dell Vocke of Pavo, GA; and a sister-in-law, Amanda (Van) Carpenter of Hahira, Georgia. Jeff leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Jeff at a later date due to the corona virus pandemic. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County, 1740 W.
