She was born July 31, 1917 to the late Chester Lee and Allie Irene Brantley Mullis. She was a supervisor for Levi Strauss & Co. and was a member of the Stockton Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Willie Hough, 2 sons, Billy Joe Hough of Walterboro, SC and Charles R. Hough of Cordele, GA, a grandson, Billy J. Hough, Jr., great grandson, Matthew English, and 5 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 in the Stockton Baptist Church and burial will follow in the Wayfare Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, September 30, 2011 from 6:00 8:00 p.m.
