Jerry Bozeman

June 15, 1935 — February 9, 2016

Jerry Bozeman, 80, of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday February 9, 2016 at the Fellowship Home. He was born on June 15, 1935 in Tifton, GA to the late E.J. Bozeman and Lautress Walker Bozeman. He retired from the United States Air Force after over 26 years of service. He served over 22 years with the United States Air Force and 4 years with the United States Navy. He served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Following his service to his country he worked with the Department of Labor for the State of Maine for over 20 years. Mr. Bozeman was a member of the VFW American Legion Post 13, Military Officers Association of America, Benevolent and Paternal Order of Elks, Reserve Officers Association, American Association of Retirees, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the University of Nebraska at Omaha Alumni Association. He was preceded in death by his special friend, Suzie the Pug.

Survivors include: Wife, Pauly Bozeman, Valdosta, GA, 3 Sons, Conrad Bozeman LoriBrunswick, Maine, Peter Bozeman, Bowdoin, Maine, Scott Bozeman Julie Brunswick, Maine, Step Son, Aubrey Hoyle Carole, Hampden, Maine, Step Daughter, Linda MaherWilliam, East Poland, Maine, 5 Grandchildren, Brother, Jeff Bozeman JoanDouglas, GA.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 13, 2016 at Isabella Baptist Church Cemetery, 134 Old Mail Rd. Sylvester, GA 31791 where full military honors will be rendered. Visitation will be held on Friday February 12, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the following charities: Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, Pet Rescue Best Friends in Utah 5001 Angel Canyon Rd. Kanab, Utah 84741 or First United Methodist Church 220 N. Patterson St. Valdosta, GA 31601.
